The best place we have been to is this! The ambience, the views, the food, the service, the staff - EVERYTHING on the whole is a 100/10. Just love this place! Do not feel like leaving. A mini heaven on earth. Felt very relaxing and completely disconnected from the outside world and routine life. This place is also recommended for babies and pets. Love you Ayatana! Hoping to be back at some point in time. ❤️

We stayed at Ayatana, Coorg on August 27th for a two-night trip from Bangalore. While the welcome and initial experience were good, what followed was the most terrifying and traumatic experience we've ever had at any resort. On the night of August 28th 2025 I saw an intruder standing inside our room , watching us from the lobby area. (The chalets do not have doors separating the bedroom, which makes them extremely unsafe.) As soon as I shouted, the person ran out through the main door. It was dark, and I couldn’t see his face. My fiancée had also noticed strange flashlight movements previous night, which I initially ignored due to travel exhaustion. We were horrified and reported the incident to the reception. The staff shifted us to another chalet (201), but we were too shaken to sleep and checked out at dawn. We still feel unsafe and are mentally disturbed by the incident. And after paying ₹51,000 for just two nights, this is definitely not the kind of experience one expects from a so-called premium resort. Major Concerns: No CCTV near the chalets Easy access for outsiders— no proper security checks Card-lock system can be easily misused No internal door separating bedroom in chalets No manual door stoppers or additional locking mechanisms for added security People will still come to places like this for the nature and ambiance, but basic safety should never be compromised. There should be a proper locking system in every chalet, including manual door stoppers from inside. It’s extremely stressful to feel the need to double-check your door after every meal or resort activity, just to make sure no one entered your room in your absence. This is a serious security lapse, and we sincerely hope the management takes this seriously and acts fast to protect future guests. We do not recommend this resort until real security upgrades are made.

What can I say about Ayatana, the room, the view, the food, the activities were what you would expect of a really good resort. We had a wonderful time. The waterfall is the highlight of the property, but the pool, activities in the forest tavern, the Jeep excursion to meeranakote, the walks and obstacle course+ zip line kept us busy for 3 days. I would specially like to thank Manoj,  Priyanka, Nithin, Panduranga, Santosh chef, Avik chef, Subhendu chef & Somaiah. Each person from the glass house made us feel welcome and pampered. It was our 20th anniversary and the staff went out of the way to make it special for us. Sreena arranged for a fresh cream cake at very short notice and  Chaitra, Manoj arranged a table decorated with rose petals as a surprise from my husband. They also had a surprise brownie arranged in the room on our return. Rohit & Gagan patiently helped us over half hour to charge our EV. Even the housekeeping staff, special shoutout to sudeep, buggy drivers and the security at the waterfall, Vivek Singh who helped us take memorable pics, all were extremely jolly and made our trip very memorable. I'm sure I've missed a few names here. My only two suggestions are 1. Please try and get airtel network within the resort. Currently only jio works. So, no otp meant a few chaotic moments. 2. We need more vanity lights in the bathrooms. The lights are very dim which makes long-sighted people like us struggle to shave / apply makeup. Overall we had a wonderful celebration that we will remember for years to come.
